The Reading Room:  a site for book lovers.

Hello, my name is Aileen.  I read a lot.  This site is for people who share my love of books.  Here are links to two sites for book lovers, Shelfari and The Library Thing.  At these sites, you can list your favorite books, connect with other people who have read them, write reviews, read others' reviews, find recommendations for books similar to the ones you like and take part in conversations with other readers about books.  I'm also a writer and have two web logs, one at blogger, and one at xanga. I use these sites to review books and movies and to write about my life.  It is fun to write for an audience, and I have over 100 subscribers to my xanga site, which gets over 100 hits a day.

More about me:  I am a nursing student at a small community college in central Virginia.  I grew up in Buffalo, NY and originally went to Canisius College, where I majored in English.  I have four children, between the ages of 15 and 8.  We have two dogs, and a bunny named George.  This is George:

I am a runner, and I used to be a rower and was on the crew at Canisius College.  Rowing is a great sport. It's a lot of fun to be out on the water, and it's excellent exercise.
